Medicaid Appeals

In order to receive Medicaid benefits in Georgia, you must submit an application to apply for Medicaid with the Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS).  DFCS will decide if you are approved or denied for Medicaid benefits.  Your application can be denied for many reasons. However, you have the right to appeal and request a fair hearing if you are denied Medicaid benefits. The denials are sometimes made in error and an appeal is necessary.  A Medicaid appeal will grant you the opportunity to petition for benefits that you really need.  Please remember that Medicaid appeals must be made in a timely manner so it is important that you contact an attorney as soon as possible.

To learn more about your options for a fair hearing and whether or not you may be eligible to receive Medicaid or other government benefits, please contact S. Dixon Law Offices for a consultation.
